The Old West Organ Society presents Francis Chapelet for the final concert of the 2015-2016 International Concert Series.

Francis Chapelet began organ studies at the École César Franck, studying with Édouard Souberbielle. He continued his studies at the CNSMD in Paris where he earned First Prizes in Harmony, organ and improvisation.In 1964 he was named co-titularie de l'orgue at the Église Saint-Séverin in Paris, a position which he held for twenty years and where he remains titularie honorarie. He created the organ class at the Conservatoire de Bordeaux where he taught until 1996. This will be one of three concerts marking Francis Chapelet’s farewell tour of the United States. Mr. Chapelet will be 83 years old and is an icon of the French organ world.
